Atlanta’s Largest Environmental Education Fundraiser Takes Place December 7th

ATLANTA – The Captain Planet Foundation is excited to present their annual Benefit Gala, one of the largest environmental fundraising events in the Southeast, on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Georgia Aquarium.  This highly popular annual charitable event raises funds for Captain Planet Foundation’s (CPF) mission, which supports high-quality, hands-on environmental education programs for the next generation of environmental stewards and global change-makers.

Green carpet arrivals include media mogul, Ted Turner, and honored guests Sir Richard Branson and President Jimmy Carter.  In an encore performance from last year, 27-time Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Alison Krauss will perform a live, intimate concert.

Gala Co-Chairs Laura Turner Seydel and Elizabeth DuPree Lynch will also be joined by Premier Sponsor Fisker Automotive founder, Henrik Fisker, and Captain Planet award recipient Patrice Maynard, leader for Outreach and Development of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).
