Between April 26 and 29, cities around the world will be competing to see who can make the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people in the 2019 City Nature Challenge. Check to see if your city is one of 100 places participating in this friendly competition. You can organize a BioBlitz or simply observe plants, animals and fungi and upload your pics using an iNaturalist account on your smartphone. The Nature Challenge Educator Toolkit provides all the details.
The Atlanta Nature Challenge is being led by Fernbank Museum of Natural History, but anyone in the 9 county metro area can participate.
