The Biome School was a recent winner of a contest in their area sponsored by Dole and Schnuck’s Grocery Stores. We are celebrating The Biome School’s innovative approach to STEM instruction and hands-on learning. To maximize space in their outdoor learning lab, staff and students installed a vertical garden to grow and contain their campus-grown produce. This allowed them to enjoy the benefits of growing and harvesting fresh produce without taking any space away from students’ play and exploration areas. Are you short on space, but long on a desire to grow? This strategy could be a win for you too!
Would you like your school to be spotlighted? Upload photos of your school garden project to our Facebook group page; we’ll periodically select and spotlight schools who share their images with the group.
