Help young explorers develop a scientific eye and a penchant for noticing detail! This is a great follow-up activity after learning the basics of scientific drawing, freely offered by the California Academy of Sciences. Use what you know about sketching and plant characteristics to create drawings of “secret” specimens you find in the yard. Swap sketches, then send one another on a hunt for the plants you draw.
