Planeteer Alliance Regional Coordinator, Mexico
Natalia Moragrega (she/her) serves as the Planeteer Alliance Regional Coordinator for Mexico, supporting the implementation of Captain Planet Foundation programs while expanding youth engagement opportunities nationwide. Her work centers on conservation, climate action, and environmental justice, with a strong focus on fostering inclusive participation among underrepresented and minority communities. She is particularly committed to connecting science, public engagement, and policy to ensure that youth and community voices are meaningfully integrated into environmental and climate decision-making processes.
Natalia is a passionate climate and environmental advocate who has participated in several Captain Planet Foundation initiatives, including the Ocean Heroes Bootcamp in 2020. That same year, she founded the Conciencia Verde, an initiative dedicated to environmental awareness and sustainable living. Through this platform, she created and shared educational content on eco-anxiety, veganism, zero-waste living, held second-hand clothing exchanges, and natural cosmetics workshops, promoting practical solutions for waste reduction and responsible consumption. In 2021, Natalia was interviewed on El Heraldo TV, a television program, where she was able to amplify her message to a national audience. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she successfully advocated for her sports club, Club France, to replace excessive single-use cellophane bags with more sustainable cardboard alternatives, while simultaneously promoting a reduction in overall bag consumption.
In 2020, Natalia also co-founded Green Speaking alongside Diego Arreola and currently serves as the organization’s Director of Programs. Green Speaking is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to making environmental and climate education accessible, engaging, and impactful, while equipping and training young people with a strong understanding of the root causes of environmental challenges, systemic solutions, and practical skills needed to drive meaningful change in their communities.
Natalia is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) in La Paz, Mexico. Her academic training reinforces her passion for ocean conservation and strengthens her ability to advocate for equitable, science-based climate and environmental action.
Outside of her professional and academic work, Natalia enjoys spending time outdoors through scuba diving, camping, and hiking. She also expresses her creativity through music and the arts, including playing the piano, DJing, painting, and reading. Above all, she deeply cherishes moments of vulnerability and genuine connection, valuing meaningful, quality time with friends and family.
