Lakeisha is an award-winning public sector strategist, public policy advisor, and management consulting executive with global experience working with governments, nonprofits, multilateral organizations, foundations, higher education institutions, social enterprises, and diverse businesses. She is a first-generation Sierra Leonean-American and was born and raised in Georgia, where she received a B.A in International Studies with an emphasis in Sustainable Development from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Public Administration Degree with honors from Kennesaw State University’s School of Government and International Affairs.
Lakeisha currently serves as a North America Public Sector Strategy Executive at Accenture LLP. Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance citizen services. In her role, Lakeisha provides strategy and technology advisory services to c-suite public administrators and elected officials across the U.S, Canada, and Mexico. She also leads diverse teams, teaches strategy and design thinking globally, and develops and manages complex programs and projects for state and local governments, higher education institutions and nonprofits across the U.S. Over her career, Lakeisha has worked in over six countries and has consulted clients such as the United Nations, the European Union, the Spanish Institute for Strategic Policy Studies, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and many other federal and state agencies, cities, local governments, community-based organizations, and nonprofits.
Lakeisha has a broad base of professional skills with specializations in business and growth strategy, organizational design, corporate social responsibility, technology implementation, strategic partnerships, stakeholder and community engagement, research, thought leadership, program and project management, analytics and data storytelling, organizational change management, strategic communications, innovation, experience design, grantmaking, and grant writing. Over her career, Lakeisha has designed, implemented, and led numerous, successful public initiatives, projects, programs, policies, and campaigns that positively impact vulnerable and socially disadvantaged populations and communities around the world.
Lakeisha’s passion for the environment and youth stems from her early career work in education, environmental sustainability, and food security. Lakeisha has performed extensive research on local food systems and the intersection of sustainable agriculture and public health through her work with organizations like the United Nations Institute for Training & Research (UNITAR), the Global Growers Network, the Georgia Farmers Market Association, the AmeriCorps, and Wholesome Wave Georgia. At Accenture, Lakeisha currently serves as the Atlanta Corporate Citizenship Lead and Executive Sponsor for the Sustainability impact area where she steers and oversees the firm’s community investments in anti-human trafficking, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, workforce development and social inclusion. Lakeisha is also a distinguished alumni of Leadership Atlanta’s LEAD Class of 2024 and the creator of the Atlanta Corporate Recycling Challenge – an innovative, annual corporate recycling competition in partnership with the City’s largest corporations that has diverted close to one million pounds of waste from landfills since its inception in 2021.
Lakeisha currently lives in Atlanta and enjoys art, travel, music, food, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and friends.
