Ruth Tanui is the Co-Founder and Data & Innovations Associate at Mviringo Africa, a youth-led climate organization that creates spaces for young people across Africa to learn about climate change and take action for climate justice. Through Mviringo Africa, she has organized Climate Conversations, youth forums, and sustainability discussions that help young people understand climate issues and take part in real solutions. She supports practical, community-based sustainability projects and is an environmental advocate with a strong interest in the circular economy, eco-friendly practices, and policies that reduce waste and encourage responsible use of resources.
She has represented the Captain Planet Foundation as a member of the Planeteer Alliance at both local and global levels and has hosted climate summits from 2021 to 2025. Ruth is passionate about empowering young people and focuses on turning climate knowledge into real action through education, innovation, and community engagement.
