Captain Planet Foundation is thrilled to announce a $60,000 grant from the James M. Cox Foundation to support the adaptation and expansion of the CPF Learning Gardens Program for pre-school aged children in Georgia.
With this generous support, CPF will install ten (10) Learning Gardens into Early Childhood Education centers around metro-Atlanta. Research has shown that the earlier children develop an affinity for nature and a palate for vegetables, the more likely they are to maintain those affinities throughout their lifetime.
Captain Planet Foundation is so grateful to the Trustees and leadership of the Cox Foundation for making the CPF Early Childhood Learning Gardens possible.
The James M. Cox Foundation has long played a leadership role in the Atlanta philanthropic community and focuses its community support in the priority areas of: Conservation and Environment, Early Childhood Education, Empowering Families and Individuals for Success, and Health.
