Captain Planet Foundation is so excited and honored to be a contributor to the Greater Atlanta Pollinator Partnership which won a 2015 Wings Across the Americas Conservation Award for Urban Communities in Conservation.
CPF’s contribution to the project included:
Donating $10,000 to the small grant partnership with National Wildlife Federation;
Hosting two Project Learning Garden professional development conferences where over 200 teachers learned about pollinator gardens and how to use their Project Learning Gardens as onsite learning laboratories for students; and
Installing more than 90 school gardens with pollinator gardens around Metropolitan Atlanta.
The awards event will take place March 11, 2015 in Omaha, Nebraska in conjunction with the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference.
