Description: P.S. 092 Harry T. Stewart Sr. Magnet School in Flushing, Queens NYC was recently awarded Project Learning Garden in a contest sponsored by Key Foods and Dole Packaged Foods.
Students in this school are experimenting with growing and tasting a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables right in their schoolyard and in their hydroponics classroom lab.
Students have also created a composting area for cafeteria waste and a pollinator garden.
