Sixth graders are hard at work preparing to launch a high altitude balloon into the stratosphere on March 12th, 2015. The students will be prepping a scientific payload to study atmospheric temperature, pressure and radiation as it, hopefully, climbs to 102,000ft. The students will also take video of the Flagstaff terrain to see how snowpack and forest fires change over multiple years due to local weather and climate change. The sky is not the limit for these young scientists and engineers!
