Citizen Science

Citizen Science refers to the involvement of the public in scientific research, often through contribution of observations into large data sets.

Citizen science projects offer students a real-world context and opportunity to apply the observations they make as part of their classwork. Many CPF lessons and activities align with existing citizen science projects, providing students with a way to contribute to important research around climate, habitat, migration, population dynamics, and more.
