Planeteer Alliance Program Manager
Naphtali Akudung (he/him) joined the Captain Planet Foundation (CPF) as an Ocean Hero in 2020 and became a Planeteer Ambassador in 2022, guiding young individuals in building sustainable impact models. In 2025, he assumed the role of Planeteer Alliance Program Manager, leveraging his expertise as a social entrepreneur and climate activist working at the intersection of climate change, business, and social development.
Before joining CPF, Naphtali founded Climrenew, an advisory firm dedicated to helping corporations and businesses achieve their ESG goals with a focus on renewable energy, plastic waste management, and agriculture. As an Innovator in Residence at Crowdsolve, he develops curricula to support climate tech entrepreneurs in building cleantech enterprises.
Naphtali’s impactful work in the climate space has earned him grants and opportunities to speak at local and international conferences. He has also served on the Civil Society Youth Representative Steering Committee of the United Nations Department of Global Communications.
He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Jos, Nigeria, and is an alumnus of the Nigerian University of Technology and Management as well as the Watson Institute, where he honed his skills in entrepreneurship, management, and design. In his free time, Naphtali enjoys learning, playing volleyball and soccer.
