Cleanup Kids, Chloe Mei are honorees of Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

Chloe Mei Espinosa, Ella Galaski-Rossen, and Cash Daniels were honorees for the Barron Prize

Among 25 problem-solving young people from across the country, three of our own were selected as Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes last month!

The Barron Prize honorees are Chloe Mei Espinosa, who created Skip the Plastic Straw, an initiative to end the use of plastic straws at large corporations and elsewhere, and Ella Galaski-Rossen and Cash Daniels, the founders of The Cleanup Kids, an effort to inspire and educate young people about the environment.

The 2021 Barron Prize winners includes those who are helping the hungry, the homeless, and people with disabilities; promoting STEM education; protecting wildlife; and raising awareness and funds for important environmental issues.

Established by author T. A. Barron, the Barron Prize annually honors 25 outstanding young leaders ages 8 to 18 who have made a significant positive difference to people and the environment. Over the past two decades, the Barron Prize has honored 525 young heroes from across the U.S. and
Canada.

Cash, Ella and Chloe Mei have all participated in our past bootcamps to learn more about strategies on combating ocean pollution.

Cash wrote about being honored with the Barron Prize on his website last month.
