Spinach Pesto Hummus


1  15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
10 oz of spinach
7-8 basil leaves
3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp paprika
Half of a lemon (juiced)
1/2 cup of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Crackers or raw veggies (optional)
Nuts (walnuts or pine nuts) (optional)

Time: 30 minutes

This spinach pesto hummus give a nice twist to this traditional Mediterranean dish, the spinach adds color while the basil and nuts from the pesto give it delicious flavor.


  1. In a blender add all the ingredients and blend until smooth.
  2. Season to taste.
  3. Serve with crackers or raw veggies.
