Tomatillos have a spicy, tangy flavor, which can be added to a dish or served as a fresh dipping sauce.

10-15 husked tomatillos
1-2 green bell peppers
1-2 green chili peppers (optional)
1 clove garlic (optional)
1/2 cup vinegar
3 tablespoons granulated sugar or honey
1 teaspoon salt
Knives or cutters
- Chop the produce.
- Combine all ingredients into a large pot and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, 10-20 minutes.
- Blend ingredients in food processor, being sure to have an escape route for steam.
- Return mixture to pot, bring to boil, and simmer until mixture is thickened, about 20-30 minutes.
- Let cool and serve with chips, on hamburgers, hotdogs, or anything your heart desires.
