Sorting Found Objects From a Nature Box

Use materials you have on hand to create boxes of mystery! Natural objects are hidden inside of a box that small hands will identify using only the sense of touch. Give explorers the option to decorate the mystery boxes before they’re filled to incorporate Art and personal touches. Take turns filling the boxes with objects you collect from your yard to challenge one another, and take care to select objects that won’t harm probing fingers!

Materials

• Mystery boxes (made from empty tissue boxes or shoe boxes)
• Variety of found objects from the outdoor classroom (leaves, seeds, flowers, etc.)
