A Press Conference was co-hosted by Captain Planet Foundation and Georgia Organics to celebrate the launch of the Captain Planet Foundation’s Learning Gardens Program into 40 Atlanta Public Schools with funding from the Kendeda Fund; along with a promotion of the Georgia Organics’ Farm2School Program that has been adopted system-wide by APS schools this year.
With funding from the Kendeda Fund, Kaiser Permanente, Dole Foods, Nature Conservancy, Institute for America’s Health, Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation, Publix Supermarkets, and SCANA Energy – the Captain Planet Foundation will be installing over 100 Learning Gardens in metro Atlanta public elementary and middle schools (Cobb County, DeKalb County, Fulton County, and Gwinnett County) over the next two school years. If you would like YOUR school to be considered for a CPF Learning Garden, please apply here (sign up is mid-page).
