Become part of a world wide annual event hosted by CNN Call to Earth Day 2025: Guard Your Green Space.

Action begins now with a chance for you and/or your school to be featured on CNN Thursday, November 6!

Inspire and guide others with a creative submission illustrating your action as the guardian of your garden, green space and earth!

GUARD YOUR GARDEN CREATIVITY AND ACTION CONTEST:

Submit a drawing, meme, social media post or t-shirt design of the Guardian of Your PLG Garden.

Is your guardian a person, an animal, a plant?
Does your guardian have a cape?
What are your guardian’s colors?
What does your guardian need to guard your garden?
Muscules, a sharp mind, special powers, a team of guardians?

Submit a photo or video documenting your favorite green space or action protecting green space.

Is it your PLG garden? With friends? With pollinators? With your favorite veggie?
Is it a park near your home? National park? Family park? Sports park?
Is it somewhere you visited on vacation or a volunteer trip?
What was the outcome of your action (if applicable)?

Submit a written creative expression of your favorite green space or action protecting green space.

It can be an essay, poem, creative writing, fiction or non-fiction.
Is it your PLG garden? With friends? With pollinators? With your favorite veggie?
Is it someplace with a forest, trees, water, wildlife?
Is it somewhere you visited on vacation or a volunteer trip?
What was the outcome of your action (if applicable)?

Submit your drawing, T-shirt design, photo, video, or written expression.

Contest portals open September 9 and close October 15, 2025
Up to three submissions per student, one in each category
Open to students in grades K-8
