Planeteer Alliance Regional Coordinator, Canada
Diego Arreola Fernández (he/him) is the Planeteer Alliance Regional Coordinator in Canada, helping bring Captain Planet programs and opportunities to youth across the country, particularly those currently pursuing and finishing higher education.
Diego is also a climate and environmental advocate, having been involved with various CPF programs, such as the Ocean Heroes Bootcamp (2019-2021), and attended various multilateral environmental conferences representing CPF. In addition, in 2020, he founded Green Speaking, a nonprofit organization present in Mexico, Canada, Spain, and Kenya, that aims to make environmental and climate education simple and fun, providing young people worldwide with a deep understanding of the root causes of environmental issues, systemic solutions, and practical skills so they can contribute to positive change.
He is currently finishing his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Toronto, studying International Relations and Economics. In his free time, Diego enjoys playing guitar, spending time with his family and friends, and travelling to new places!
