Maury Wolfe

Captain Planet Foundation Board

Maury Wolfe has worked at the intersection of sustainability and community impact for
over 20 years. From establishing scalable programs in the non-profit sector to driving
award winning impact reports and leading multi-million dollar capital budgets, she has
worked to utilize the business sector to drive environmental and community change.
Wolfe is an innovative leader of highly engaged, high impact teams. She found her
niche establishing programs with strong operational ROIs for environmental
performance and has built long term community investment strategies. She has been
nimble in her approach, serving as a leader within operational teams, public affairs,
legal and risk, and communications departments. She has helped build employee
engagement around environmental and community activation and led operational
performance in manufacturing, and everything in between. Wolfe is driven by a belief
that business can change standard practices to be a force for positive impact in
communities and for the environment.

Wolfe served as the Vice President of Corporate Responsibility and Social Impact for
Cox Enterprises, a private, family-held company with a longstanding commitment to
communities and the environment. Wolfe was responsible for leading ESG reporting
and strategy along with community and employee-action programs and supported Cox
Conserves, the company’s signature sustainability program. Wolfe created Cox’s
ambitious goals to empower 34 million people to lead more prosperous lives by 2034.
By 2025, the program had empowered over 13 million people. She was also responsible
for corporate giving, public private partnerships, and community relations. In addition,
Wolfe partnered with Cox’s operating divisions to lead the company’s national corporate
partnerships, focused on fostering diversity, protecting the environment, and
empowering communities.

Previously, Wolfe worked for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) where she served as
director, global corporate responsibility and drove sustainability across IHG’s 5,000+
hotels. While at IHG she supported brand activations, developed international
community partnerships that provide operational benefits through environmental
reductions and community impact and supported the launch of the first IHG Foundation.

Prior to joining IHG, Maury served as director, policy, and sustainability for Coca-Cola
Refreshments and as manager, corporate responsibility and sustainability for Coca-Cola
Enterprises. In this capacity she was responsible for a +$30M capital budget to drive
progress towards the company’s environmental goals, led work on the company’s award
winning impact report and bolstered employee engagement. Inspired by the U.S. Green
Building Council’s approach to finding a business case for environmental conservation,
she began her career with the non-profit as the manager, LEED for retail national
accounts.

Maury earned a bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational Development from
Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown
University. She has previously served the United Way of Greater Atlanta, chairing the
Women’s Leadership Breakfast, the Atlanta Beltline through the AB67 committee, the
Atlanta Speech School Advisory Board and Girls Inc.’s National Project Accelerate
Leadership Council. Wolfe now serves on the Captain Planet Foundation Board of
Directors.
