Fall Intern
Patrice Stovall (she/her) serves as a Fall intern with the Outreach and Development Team.
She is a senior student attending Georgia State University in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently earning her Bachelors in Environmental Geosciences.
She was inspired to major in Geosciences due to environmental injustices occurring nationally and globally. After graduation, she plans to become an Environmental Justice Coordinator where she can become an advocate for her community.
Before joining CPF as an intern, she was an Ambassador with Achieve Atlanta, a scholarship program for Atlanta Public School students to receive funds for their secondary education goals.
As an Ambassador, she managed a caseload of 130 students per semester. Her responsibilities included outreach to ensure renewal completions, answering questions about the program, and providing resources to assist with personal, financial and academic issues to keep students on track throughout the semester. Additionally, she and her team planned activities and events for the students to relax, learn and build connections.
By the end of her internship, she hopes to have learned teamworking, leadership, development, and research skills that will help her in her future career.
In her free time, she likes to read books and spend time with friends.
