Summer Intern
Layla Joyner (she/her) serves as the Project Learning Garden Intern at Captain Planet Foundation by supporting summer PLG operations through research, community engagement, and administrative support.
She is entering her third year at Georgia State University as a Business Management major gaining diverse on campus experience. Layla balances her interest in business operations with her passion for creativity and service by gaining hands on experience working on market research projects for the German American Chamber of Commerce, serving as an Assistant to the Director of Events and Engagement at the honors college, and leads an honors organization as President of Social Media. On campus she also spends her time as a Mental Health Ambassador and Peer Mentor for freshmen students.
Layla is thrilled to be working behind the scenes for the Project Learning Gardens and contribute to its mission of providing interdisciplinary knowledge of gardening, environmental sustainability, and nutrition for young students.
