Maria Fernanda (MaFer) is a Mexican Marine Biology graduate and Planeteer who turns her love for the ocean into action. An outgoing person with a deep passion for nature, she is committed to environmental education and finds daily inspiration in sharing knowledge and learning from those around her.

As Vice President of EcoXipe, MaFer leads coastal cleanups and educational initiatives, proving herself a tireless advocate for our blue planet. Her experience spans from monitoring whales in their natural habitat to speaking on environmental issues through radio segments. Beyond fieldwork, she is a powerful voice for policy; in 2026, she traveled to COP30 in Brazil as a youth representative for Mexico and the Captain Planet Foundation, effectively bridging the gap between local grassroots efforts and international climate diplomacy.
