Ray is an attorney that currently serves as Senior Counsel and Assistant Vice President at Voya Financial, Inc. Ray’s legal practice includes mergers and acquisitions, and handling all legal aspects of complex commercial and technology transactions. Ray is experienced in client counseling, negotiating, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and all aspects of intellectual property. Ray provides comprehensive legal advice to senior management on a wide range of legal matters and negotiates commercial contracts for a variety of corporate transactions. Prior to joining Voya Financial, Ray served as corporate counsel at Turner Broadcasting providing legal counsel for commercial transactions on behalf of its entertainment and media networks including CNN, TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, TruTV, and Adult Swim.
Ray earned his MBA degree at the Yale School of Management, and his Law degree at the University of Miami School of Law. Ray earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Florida State University in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Physics. In addition to practicing law, Ray lives in the Atlanta area and enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.
