Join us this summer for special virtual live events for kids AND adults with Chef Asata Reid! In our youth cooking sessions, kids will cook fresh, healthy recipes along with Chef Asata while learning kitchen safety and sanitation, knife skills, and valuable lessons to support a lifetime of healthy and delicious cooking while making meals for their families. Sessions are $15 for daily sessions or $50 for the entire week’s sessions!

Kids’ Cooking Camp
The Captain Planet Foundation presents: Cook, Eat, Sprout Kids’ Cooking Camp with Chef Asata from June 7-11 and July 12-16!
Youth will explore flavors from around the globe when they cook along with Chef Asata in these virtual cooking classes. In each class, participants will prepare delicious dishes in their home kitchens that feature plant based recipes and seasonal produce.
In the camps, each kid will learn about kitchen safety and sanitation, knife skills and valuable lessons to support a lifetime of healthy and delicious cooking while making meals for their families.
WHO? Kids of all ages who would enjoy learning about cooking fundamentals with the help of an expert and the supervision of their guardian.
WHEN? Monday to Friday, June 7-11, Noon to 1 p.m. EST
Monday to Friday, July 12-16, 3:00 to 4 p.m. EST
(Campers can choose to participate by the week or daily.)

Adult Farm-to-Table Sessions
Chef Asata and Ashley Rouse, Director of Project Learning Gardens and Project Giving Gardens at Captain Planet Foundation, will host cooking, demoing and Q&A sessions on Facebook Live that will engage educators interested in using farm-to-school lessons that incorporate raw produce and culinary elements that link directly back to curriculum!
