Planting a Square Foot Garden

Students will use math to plan and design their square foot garden

Students will investigate unseen objects in mystery boxes using the senses of touch, smell, and hearing.

Students will to learn how to use a sun dial to tell time.

Students will sort items into two categories – living and non-living – based on their attributes, and articulate the attributes they used to sort.

Students will investigate the position of the sun in relation to a fixed object on earth at various times of the day.

Students will listen to a poem comparing plant parts and growth cycles.

Students will explore the parts and seeds of various fruits and flowers.

Students will observe how some plants can re-grow from scraps.
